Recognizing there are significant student mental health needs within our community, East Valley School District has a unique opportunity to pilot a grant-funded student mental health initiative through Spokane County. This mental health initiative will identify students who may need extra support and ensure they are connected with services or programs to help them succeed. EVHS will participate in an evidence-based screening tool to identify possible needs and deliver school-based brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) services by a licensed mental health professional.
Identify behavioral health, social, and academic stressors impacting students, while recognizing strengths and resiliencies supporting their health and wellness.
Collect necessary information to support targeted interventions.
Analyze data to improve outcomes and quality of life for Youth within Spokane County.
Provide necessary Behavioral Health Treatment Services regardless of insurance that may not meet Medical Necessity criteria.
